I have flat feet and I am considering having my condition surgically corrected. Is this possible? I hope so. I read somewhere that the tendons/muscles of my instep can be tightened. I also have two other procedures I'd like to have done as well (shortening of one toe and bunion removal). I have runner's knee when I run and shin splints afterward.
Stats:
20 years old
No known diseases (STDs, diabetes, etc.)
No known allergies (penicillin, Toradol, etc.)
No history of mental illness in family.

In addition to pain relief, I'd like to unabashedly wear various forms of sandals in the summer (my feet sweat a lot in sneakers on the beach).

I'm not so sure about surgically correcting ur feet. But I know there is some type of shoe out there. It costs a lot of money though and it is very painful. What it does is it highers ur arch in ur foot. If u don't want to pay a lot of money for some shoe that is just going to cause u pain get a runners shoe (if u don't already have a pair) go to walmart or a shoe store that u know supplies those gel paddings that u can slip in and out of ur shoe. put those paddings in ur shoe and walk around in them. Try and break them in. I put the gel soles in my shoes b/c i also have flat feet. Over in a period of 5 weeks i can tell that my arch on my foot has been getting higher.DONT wear sandles every single day in the summer time. It lowers your arch on ur foot. Good Luck!!
