I'm probably not alone when I say i'll trade you anytime!!! While it does seem that your grandson is a little obsessive, As long as it doesn't effect his interaction with other people, I wouldn't be concerned. Most 2 yr olds Love the phrases, "Me first!" and, " My Turn!", so think of his need to help as a blessing. If you are still bothered, you can mention it to his pediatrician at his next physical. Also, some advice, it will probably cause resentment and tantrums if you don't allow him to help, so maybe you can appoint him grandma's helper, and have him make sure all the lights are off when you two leave a room and that the napkins are always on the table before you eat, that way he'll know that he's important just the way he is.

Not weird at all. He is a two year old. It sounds like everything that he does stemmed from it happened that way before and now that is how it is done. Toddlers thrive on having everything the same all the time. That is why they like the same book, movie or game over and over and over. My son does the same thing and I worried at first but then I saw three other two year old with the same behavior. I figure there is now way that the same thing is wrong with fours toddler all from different parents. The odds of that are so rare. No worries!

I think it's sweet for him to open doors for girls and ladies! And also to help his mommy! Good heavens, be glad that he puts his toys away, I think that's wonderful! My son is 16 and I'm still picking up after him!!!!

my daughter was like that wheen she was younger. She would throw all of her toys out of the toybox, just to clean them up! She is now four and I have to fight with her to clean her room...he is just being a good little man right now.

Maybe early signs of OCD... I would definitely ask the pediatrician.

Yes, that is a bit strange. I think you should have him checked for autism or some other form of mental disability. A friend of mine had a child with similar behaviors who turned out to be autistic. Does he also lick windows?
