It's like anything in this world. For the most part everyone is great it's just a couple of jerks that ruin it for the rest. Nope all branches are fine by me.

Christians are the same as anybody else. No worse and certainly no better. Christians in general I am fine with, I have a number of christian friends, and it's all good.
However a small number of christians (though actually a near majority in the US) believe complete absurdities such as that the world was created 4,000 years ago (chinese recorded history goes back further than that!) or up to 7000 years ago (a thousand years after the babylonians invented beer and the sumerians invented glue).
Normally these people don't bother me (as long as they don't talk much about their silly beliefs) however it's the "christian right" who have openly declared war on secular America wanting to turn the US into a theocracy, those who spread lies and distortions about everything from evolution to the founding fathers (who weren't christians, were actually deists and openly hated christianity in most cases). These people are making absurd laws.... trying to ban birth control from stores and education - these people I really don't like.

I think we should love the sinner (religious people) but hate the sin (religion). How could I hate Christians when my family are Christians? How could I hate Muslims when some of my friends are Muslims? This doesn't mean accepting their false beliefs. But sometimes we just have to live and let live, because no amount of reason or proof will convince someone who doesn't want to be convinced. Most Christians aren't creationists or fundamentalists. Most are reasonable people who are just too uncomfortable with the feelings that come from confronting the flaws in long-held beliefs, or for whom the sense of ecstasy they derive from their beliefs is too great for them to abandon.

A true Christian loves God first, and his neighbor (fellow human beings) as he loves himself. God IS Love. His love was so great that He sent his only Son to die for me, in spite of all the awful things I had done in my life. While Jesus was on the cross, He experienced the shame and disgrace for all the sins that you and I and anyone who has ever lived has committed. He did that because he wanted us not to have to pay for those sins ourselves. "Greater love hath no man".

I don't have a problem with Christians as people. My problem lies with their archaic belief system, and the myopic view of the world it has created for them.
I'm an atheist, and most of my friends are theists in one form or another (most believe in the Christian interpretation of God).

Christians are humans whom have the answer to salvation, the problem is that most think that their answer is the only one, or way, to salvation and that is not the truth. Christ came to save all. Have a great day and God bless, thanks for the opportunity to spread the truth.

I can't make a true generalization on Christians because I've never seen any in all situations act the same way. its like the old joke of taking a baptist man fishing, take two because if you only take one he'll drink all your beer.

The only thing you need to focus on is Jesus Christ... He is all that is important.
