you can boil a potato and add everything to it once it's done. if you have a microwave, you can use that, or an outside grill, although using a grill takes a long time.

I've always had good luck using a medium sized potato stabbed a few times with a fork, wrapped in a damp paper towel for about 8 minutes on high in the microwave. Using a potholder see if you can squeeze the potato to test for doneness. If you like the skin a little crisp, after it is done to your liking, take it out of the papertowel, place it in a bowl (like a cereal bowl) spray in with Pam or drizzle it with olive oil, top the bowl with a salad plate or saucer and return to the microwave on high for another minute to minute and a half. remove the lid and let stand for about 2 minutes. I was a baked potato fanatic for many years and that how I always cooked them. Now potatoes make my butt too big!

Wash the potato well.then poke 4 holes in the potato, wrap it in Saran wrap or sandwich bag. Then put it in the microwave for 4 mins.,then poke it with a fork to see if its soft.If not give it 2 more mins.Don't put the cheese on it while cooking it, add later and the return to cook for 1 or 2 mins.Be careful and don't over cook,it continues to cook for a while once you take it out of the microwave.

Boiling it would be the easiest, the skin would just fall off and you would be left with the makings of a good mashed potato though.

Second option would be microwave, cover the potato in plastic wrap , not to tightly but make sure it is completely wrapped with no holes. If it goes right you should be able to cook it just fine. The plastic will grow and make a bubble above the potato allowing lots of steam to cook it.

If you wrap it to tightly your bubble will pop.

the only time you want foil is that in case you microwave bake the potatoes (not advised, yet each and every so often time is a element.) You poke them, micro for roughly 8 minutes and then wrap them in foil and enable them to take a seat down. you would be able to desire to wrap an oven baked potato in case you probably did not think of it grew to become into performed. No reason to prepare dinner them in foil.

Microwaves work very well - prick some holes in the potato with a fork. Depending on your microwave wattage, start with about 3 minutes. You can test if a potato is done by squeezing - a done potato is softer. Keep cooking, one minute at a time, until it's done. If you don't have a turntable, rotate the potato each time you test it.

if you don't want to use the oven cause it does take an hour to make them that way, put them in the microwave for about 6 minutes, cut open, spread with butter. if they are not tender enough, place back in the microwave for a about 45 seconds to a minute. take out, top with all your cheeses and stuff, put back in the microwave for about 15 seconds and you have a wonderful tender and tasty baked potato!!

No doubt, microwaving. Wash potato, poke holes all around with a fork. Wrap in plastic wrap (not necessary but helps even cooking). Cook on high for about 6min.

I don't how you did it in the mic. But the what i do it and it works ok is to take a mic. container that will hold 2 spuds add enough water to fill the bottom. poke holes in your spuds, oil or butter them, mic. for 8min. flip and mic. 6 or 7 more.
