I have a 10 month old black lab puppy that needs a good. I have a newborn baby that's allergic to him so I can't keep him. He's a really good dog and he is house broken. He deserves a good home. He loves kids. I live in Springfield, Mo. Am willing to drive to some parts of Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma.

Go to www.petfinder.com and find the name and location of any private humane societies or any purebred labrador retriever rescues in your area. A 10-month old lab puppy is highly adoptable and they will screen prospective owners carefully to find a good new home for him. Good luck. I know this was a very difficult decision for you to make.

Put an ad in your local newspaper, or if you have a local flea market, take the pup there. (Just sold all 8 of our AKC lab pups at the flea market.) People will jump all over a free lab. Just advertise it.

I would call a Lab rescue. They will make sure he gets a great home. They check references of potential owners.
