Yes. He is just like a hairdresser or a waitress. They make a salary but providing services. If you do not tip these people in your life the next time you receive their services it might not be as good. Your hairdresser might not cut your hair the way you want it. Waitress might not be as attentive to your needs and your massage therapist may only do the basics and not give you extra attention.

YES - you tip your massage therapist. This is just proper etiquette for anyone who performs a service for you; even if you pay them for the actual service, you should tip them on top of that.
I say if you can't afford to tip your massage therapist (or anybody else), then you can't afford the massage at all.

You're suppose to tip him/her 15% - 20%....I generally always do 20% but if my therapist gave me extra time I would have tipped him generously....
