I think the fear of death has a great impact upon people's lives. In fact, this is the prime factor used by organized religion to control the masses.

The fear of dieing makes no sense because we are going to die. That is the one sure thing in life besides there being a God.
Figuring out that there is a God is easy it is living the commandments that are hard.
We truly live when we live the commandments because we are free from the shackles of sin and continue to make free decisions.
It is when we sin and are unrepentive that we are not free and the adversary has reign over us.
To find out how to truly live free and of the true church of God that is on this earth.
I extend a challenge to all.
It is said in the book of Mormon that is you read it and adhear to the commandments and ask God in the name of Christ if it is true he will manifest the truth to you.
Cant beat that deal

Anything that you allow to consume you will prevent you from enjoying life. If you are entirely focused on death or what ever you are missing out on so much that is available to you right now. I believe in God and so I do not fear death the scripture teaches us that to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord. As I see it it's all good being with God.

yes.but not only fearing or thinking about what would be the practical opposite of life (death).but anything else,in fact.just don't worry.feel the moment.feel how great it is.it will never happen again.this very instance is the very single one you'll have in your entire life.those clouds through the window, this breath you're taking, the way you feel...every detail is perfect and unique.how could you spend such a life fearing death?

Absolutely. We will all die. Contemplating it does not change this fact. I hope that you can find something that is more interesting to you than your own demise and focus on that.
I think that having hope that you will spend eternity with God might help. If you are not already, I suggest reading the bible. It will bring you comfort. I would start with the book of John.

It's possible. I'm not afraid of dying and love every minute of my life. Thank you and may GOD come soon to right the wrongs that have been done on this earth.

Yes. What we think upon in mind, we will manifest in body and spirit. All will be death and dying by the fears.

If by 'truly living' you mean being reckless, then yes. If you mean living the fullest life one can, then it's a tragedy if it does.
