Yes, try pilates, yoga and exercise where the main focus is on toning the body. Alternatively, an exercise bike may be a good idea - you could then do this in the comfort of your own home! Or a cross trainer - this will help tone most of the body.

Hi!
It's nice to hear someone *wanting* shape for once, instead of the other way around! Unfortunately, what we can do to change our body parts is quite limited - we keep the same kind of shape, as you cannot target specific areas for weight loss or weight gain. That is why Kate Moss is very skinny, but actually has quite shapely upper thighs!
Pilates would make your leg muscles more supple, but won't really add shape. One thing you could try is to do some exercises and weights only on your legs. You should ideally do a bit of cardio (say 30 mins) about 3 times a week, simply for health reasons. You won't lose weight if you make sure you eat properly. But mostly focus on calf and thigh exercises and it might help to give you a little more definition. If you want a cheap at-home machine, the Lateral Thigh Trainer (just google it) is great, and you can set it for a cardio workout or for resistance, which will build muscle.

Skipping or jumping rope. You have to
- wear good trainers to adequately support your feet
- always jump on either a wooden floor or thick mat never on hard floor
- utilise the balls of your feet when you land
- don't jump higher than 2 inches
- if you're female- wear a good sports bra
A jumping rope should be light like leather or plastic. The boxers use skipping rope routines to increase co-ordination but it's the best leg exercise there is, plus it's intense. You'll feel it in the calves especially. You can combine this with Pilates for the ultimate toning and cardiovascular workout. You don't have to worry about losing weight- just make sure you eat right, get enough protein and carbohydrates and lots of chocolate to treat yourself.

Exercise doesnt necessarily make you loose weight, if you eat a little extra you will gain weight (as muscle weighs more than fat)
You aren't going to get anything if you are not prepared to work for it honey,
Step aerobics is very good for building your leg muscles up and giving them a defined shape plus you can do that in your living room, (also wearing high heels helps)
But honestly chick you may say you are slim but are you healthy??
everyone needs regular exercise,

Exercise doesn't always cause you to lose weight (at least, not visibly). It sounds as though you want to increase muscle and tone so exercise is exactly what you need to do. Weights are good for building muscle in a specific area although you don't want to end up with abnormally huge calves and thighs.
Why not visit your local gym and book a session with a personal trainer? They're the experts, after all...

I had really skinny legs. I started doind step aerobics and now they're great and beautiful. I eat right, carbs are GOOD for you! Sweet potatoes, whole wheat pasta and bread, with protein and veggies trhoughout the day. Jumping is great to build nice legs, up and down the stairs and biking. Give it time, you won't see results the next day. Give it at least 3 months. Don't give up! Good luck!

The only way to add shape to your legs (apart from surgery) is specific excercises that are designed to work on your legs only. This will not make you lose weight. Muscle is heavier than fat and will add weight to your legs. Go to a gym and ask the personal trainers who will advise you of the correct excercises you need to do, without adding bulk to the rest of your body (unless you want to).

Feast regularly on sweet snacks and chocolates and eat lots of carbs. After a few months you'll feel the weight coming on. when they're the size you want, keep up the routine but with regular exercise to keep them in shape. Sure worth a try.

Weight machines (leg extensions, hampstring one and leg press) or free weights like squats, lunges, deadlift. You need to put a little muscle on, I had the same problem and it helped me. Start on 4 sets of 10 for each machine and work from there.
