I have always been rather thin but still had a complex with wanting to be even thinner. I know it's stupid. Anyway last year I started watching what I ate and it got out of hand. I severely limited my calories my husband and family were worried too death. I realized I looked sick and stopped. It's been 8 months since I stopped that starvation diet. My weight went back to my normal weight and stayed there for a while (probably 5 months or so) then I gained an additional 5lbs. Will that ever go away?? I've learned from my mistakes and won't do that again, but I'm really hoping my metabolism will get back to normal again and the 5 extra lbs will go away because my jeans are getting tight. I eat healthy (probably 4-5 small meals a day) and walk about 1.5-2 miles M-F (walking very fast). This is exactly what I did before the crash diet....so the only explanation is my metabolism changing, right?

As women age our metabolism slows , thru menopause it gets very sluggish. So eat breakfast to jump start it, eat your small meals as you have been doing. Research now recommends late afternoon exercise, because that is when the metabolism starts to slow down during the day- so take your brisk walk then to re-energize it. Hope that works for you.

Exercise 5 days every week. ALWAYS drink a pre and publish exercise shake. It does no regularly need to be a shake, possibly only a muscle milk or anything of that nature. Don't pile up energy situated a Taco Bell or McDonald's nutrition, that is the worst viable option to shed pounds. Just check out a few Whey or a protein shake of a few style. But preserve in brain with this kind of low frame fats percent and weight, it turns into very complex to place on muscle with out a extra fats to change into muscle. Power lifting within the weight room might most likely aid you out. three units four to five reps on each and every set. Bench press, vigor blank, army press..... Protein is essentially the most main factor to constructing muscle, that it what u wish, no even a bit of little bit of fats to fill you out. Trust me. Good good fortune my buddy!

Women have weird metabolisms that change with age. It may never go away or it may. I would advise you to eat foods that stimulate metabolism.
