Jesus rose from the dead by the grace of God. He didn't just come back to life. He was not in human form when he returned.
I guess you believe everything you see on tv as truth from what you are saying about the discovery channel. So, I'm not going to argue with that logic. I don't have the time or energy to argue with someone who believes the television.
I personally never saw the answer for Christmas from an athiest point of view. But Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus. So, really there is no point to an athiest celebrating it. Even the word Christmas comes from the name Christ....

dead people do stay dead, that's the cool thing about it. Jesus was risen from the power of god and, sense god created everything including the fact that dead people stay dead he can override it therefore it meaning nothing, you see.
there is, like a bazillion families in Israel as well as Mexico with families of jesuses, Marys, and Josephs. plus there's no real hard evidence once you come down to it.

Hmm ok so being an atheist why do you celebrate Christmas? You voice a lot of violence towards those who do not believe what you do. Are you perhaps angry that we may have something that you want? We all have the option to believe or not believe. What gets me is why are people so violent towards someone else's belief. I am not going to hate a person just because they do not believe in God nor am I going to hurl insults at them. At some point it would seem practical to "agree to disagree" and leave it at that.

I can`t believe you becoming a top contributor. Your knowledge is so superficial, baseless and rootless. I see you don`t even try to read more to become a little informative. Some became atheist after reading many articles.
Jesus Christ ressurrection is mainly to show to us...there`s life after death. So, take care of your spirit more than the body can take. Soul/spirit can stay eternal like the Gods. Whether you like it or not, you only have 2 choices... eternal happiness or eternal sufferrings.

O.K.. smarty pants.. don't really think you have had a life after death experience. Hate to be the one to tell you- but there is life after death. Yes Jesus did rise up from the dead!! HE DID, HE DID, HE DID!!. If dead people stay dead... how am i typing this? HHmMm .... I was dead at the age of 13. Maybe you could do some research into a few life after death experiences people have had. Thank goodness for you God is merciful and forgiving. I t will be sad when you meet him face to face...the one who made you.... and gave you life....and explain to him why you thought otherwise.

we all die but we all live . the bible tells us to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord as a child of GOD. the souls go be with the lord and when the lord comes back to get his children the dead in christ will rise there no such thing as atheist every body when things are bad they alway say GODhelp me someone hadto create this world and it couldnt been a atheist because they do are belive nothing and when they wake up in hell they wished they would have belive and got saved but its to late.
