But why do girls continue to ask "Am I pregnant?" "Could I be pregnant?". Well, if you had sex, then yes, you could possibly be pregnant. I understand the need for reassurance, but the most conclusive answer to that question you will ever get is with a test and a doctor. The answers you get on Yahoo! Answers will definately not determine whether you are pregnant or not. Please, instead of asking this question anymore, go out and buy a test and see for yourself! Then feel free to ask questions about your newly found pregnancy on here, we will be glad to respond!

I can't believe how hard it is not to give a sarcastic answer to the question "Could I be pregnant?"
Like you say...If you had sex, then yes, you COULD be...
Isn't it much easier to get up from the Yahoo questions and go get a pregnancy test and get the answer for yourself?

Well, am trying to be positive and thinking how their emotional and psychological state of being would be like (just the way my wife had been thru it some long time ago).. the woman would feel very excited and emotional and proud and a bit tensed, all at the same time, wanting to share the news to the world but at the same time also need to confirm if it was correct and that everybody who had been thru this phase of life can help, encourage and welcome them with open hearts. So I feel there is nothing wrong in this anyway. So let us encourage such a question if we see it next time though we hv seen it a thousand times before.
(Having said that, I strongly oppose those who just raise that question for the sake of wanting to communicate "I had s*x with my boyfriend last night". There is nothing wrong in hating you people in that case).

Well alot of the 'askers' are young and dont know much about pregnancy and all that. Some of the questions are legit and reasonable. I agree with you, they need to just get off of Answers and take that test.

But I think alot of them ask because they are scared and arent old enough to be able to handle the situation.

I totally agree with you!! I just ignore them questions. I believe many of them are immature little girls who acted like grown women and then are scared that they will have a serious adult consequence. They need to be taught the word "no" and the meaning of abstinence!!

You're right and this question about why do people ask if they're pregnant here is also quite common.

i agree, it is very sad that they feel they are old enough to have sex, yet are unsure of what will or will not get you pregnant, i feel if you want to behave like an adult that that includes protection and getting all the info, i will not drive a car if i don't know were the brakes are

First of all, this is a public website. Secondly, no question is a stupid question unless it isn't asked. If young women want to ask then they can. I don't think that these women actually think that there are certfied doctors on here, even though i am a medical student. But, these young women are really looking for support.
