There are four people concerned in this question. Let's call them Person A, Person B, Person C, and Person D.
Person A is me. I liked Person B quite a lot, but Person B moved away. I've decided not to act on my feelings because long distance relationships don't work.
Person C has liked me for a long time. We've been friends since we were kids. I was going to go out with Person C, but then I found out that...
Person D likes Person C, too, and has for a long time. Person D is my best friend.
What should I do? Try dating Person C, or respect my friend's feelings and stay away?

I don't know what my feelings for Person C are exactly. Maybe I'm just bouncing back from Person B. In any case, I want to give Person C a chance... but not if I have to lose my best friend over it.

person A. what u need 2 do is forget about person B because that person is gone, but don't 4get 2 well because they might come back 2 get u if person B likes u 2. Do they?

Let person C make the choice. ask that person do they like u still. if they say yes tell them that someone else likes them and it's my best friend. tell your best Friend,( you should be able to tell your best friend ANYTHING), that she likes u. and LET PERSON C make the CHOICE. if u have 2 get together and talk about it. something like this shouldn't break up best friends. i know this trust me. I've been through it just this past year.

Wow tough question... Ummm well person c likes you and has for a long time so if you have feelings for him (guessing its a guy.. don't know...) I think you should go with them, but if you are just going with them because person B moved away then don't mess with him you will find someone you really like... And with the best friend if you decide to go with him you just have to know that you cant please everyone all at the same time but you really have to think about whether you REALLY like person C or not...
HOPE I HELPED GOOD LUCK! ♥

I guess it all depends on who person C likes. Person C is a second choice for you anyway, so I would let person D give it a shot first. Start looking someplace else, or maybe is persons C and D hit it off, person C will hook you up with person F so you can double date.

Get person D,C and you down for a chat together(with no one else other then them and you). See if person D mind you going out with person C:if yes:then just go back to being normal friends(you can't make person C like D) if No: I guess you could give it a try( and see if you develop a liking for C).

If Person C already likes you, they prolly won't be interested in Person D. So if you truly like Person C, have them talk to Person D saying they just don't see them that way. So that way it's not you stealing him, it's Person C following their heart. But make sure, after Person C talks to Person D that you talk to Person D so that everything is okay between you all.

Whats more important to you...posibably losing a long time good friend over a girl that you don't love you just have a crush on or dating that girl that just might be the one you just never know. Hopefully if you chose the girl then your friend will come around. But you never know. Ultimatly its your decision to make so just listen to your heart! Good Luck!

ask person D how he feels about person C if tis intense follow yo innate morals and do wat u do. whether thats go wit person C and diss yo friend or chill it wit person C and find sum1 else. and a lil tad note advice: give long distance relations a try. it could bloom. its springtime or havent u heard?

it's kind of hard to say normally i would say bros before hos (or D's before C's in this case) but you really have to weigh the outcome, how good of a friend is your friend if he likes your girlfriend, is she into him? are you wanting a lasting realtionship with her? there are alot of open factors here, all of which you have to consider

Wait for person E. He is coming.

If you really want to date, talk to your friend about it.
