I plan on starting a diet. I like most fruits, but I absolutely hate vegetables. The only vegetable i like is corn. Trust me, i've tried every vegetable, but i just can't seem to eat them. i don't know what to eat b/c i'm very picky. breakfast would be easy for me b/c i like yogurt and fruits, but what about lunch and dinner. any good recipes? what kind of bread could i eat, or pasta? what foods are bad for me? I know salmon is good for you, but how should you prepare it? P. S. I stopped drinking cokes and started exercising. also, for lunch, i travel out of town so i need a lunch i can either take with me or buy at a store. dinner, i can make at home. Thanks for any help.

if you dont like vegetables, fruits are okay.if you plan to lose weight, you should reduce eating pasta. i am a white bread freak :P... but try to eat whole wheat bread instead of pasta or white bread ... what foods are bad for you? of course, junk food... like deep fried food. good thing that you have stopped drinking cokes. even light coke is bad for you. you are on the right track by cutting back on cokes :P if you go out of the town often, you should bring something for lunch, so you are not tempted to getting something that is greasy when you are hungry. diet recipes? you may find them at sparkpeople...

1) Make sure you eat a full breakfast & lunch, then eat a light dinner before 6 pm. Your body metabolizes the break. & lunch during the day & eating a light dinner such as salmon is ideal b/c you shouldn't eat right before you go to bed when you aren't active to burn the calories. This is healthier than the fad diets like low carb, etc.

2) I don't like vegies either, but vegie doesn't necessarily mean salads! Have you tried stir-fried chicken (home-made is best) or shish kabob? How about grilled vegies like zuchinni drizzled w/ olive oil & grilled on the BBQ? Try different ethnic foods & expand your tastes. You'll be surprised to see what you like! How about carrot muffins w/ light cream cheese frosting? You won't even taste the carrots in there!

3. Salmon is not one of my favorites, but you can try this salmon "stew": add salmon to enough water to make a stew or soup, then once the salmon is almost cooked, add sliced tomatoes and fresh dill, then salt & pepper to taste. (This was one of my mom's recipes, so I don't have the specifics.)

4. For lunch, pack a whole wheat sandwich (whole grains fill you up & are healthier) w/ grilled chicken breast, brussel sprouts, tomatoes & mozzarella, for ex. Try different cheeses & herbs like basil. Drizzle w/ a little olive oil & balsamic vinegar -- delicious!

Just drink alot of water to help fill your tummy and then eat anything you want just half what you normally do. Be sure to increase your excersise by walking more throughout the day or by working out longer and the pounds should slide off you.

You're just going to have to get used to it. Fresh spinach is good because it really doesn't have a much of taste at all. You can dress a salad up in lots of ways. You can make salads and put fruits such as apples and rasins or even nuts lit sunflower seeds or cashews. You just have to be creative.

I drink V8 vegetable juice. I do not know if it still has all the nutrients after being processed but its low calorie and has different levels of spice-iness you may select.
