My brother, who is normally very snarky towards me, has been sweetness personified these last couple of weeks. I smell a rat!

I know he wants me to give him my old laptop when I get a new one. Well, he can go to the dogs for all I care. Two weeks of niceness doesn't undo years of bad behavior!

His new-found sweetness seemed fishy to me, and when I found out that he knew I had ordered a new laptop, well, that made everything clear about his newfound niceness.

So I think I'm going to take the bull by the horns and tell him that I have no intention of letting him have my old laptop. It would be a horse of a different color if I felt his niceness was genuine, but my mother let the cat out of the bag when she told me she'd talked to him about my getting a new laptop.

I told her that the idea of giving my brother the old one was for the birds, that she could have it straight from the horse's mouth that my brother wasn't getting the old lap top.

I did horse around with the idea of stringing my brother along to keep him behaving nice, but decided that that would be as phony as his newly-turned niceness.

So...what do you think? Why no comment? Cat got your tongue?

Smell a rat: I knew I could smell a rat, they were very supisious acting.. Go to the dogs. They went to the dogs because they became deteriated and bad. Fishy, I knew something fishy was going on when he didn't come home on time. Take the bull by the horns, When he gets home I am going to take the bull by the horns and find out where he was.Horse of a different color. It seem to be a horse of a different color when I dont come home on time. Let the cat out of the bag. Some times my friends will let the cat out of the bag and tell me where he was. For the birds. Some times I think this is all for the birds, it is just plain worthless and I am not really interested as to where he was. Straight from the horse's mouth. I would be nice if I could get the story straight from the house's mouth but he would say anything. Horse around. He loves to horse around and goes with the boys alot. Cat got your tongue. Some times he acts as if the cat has his tongue, but, he is not a shy person so he should speak up.
