I earn 16K and seem to be earning just a little too much to qualify but too little to be able to afford it on my own.

The only way around the cost I have found is to set up an Account with the OU, so the cost is spread through the Academic Year, you will haave to pay interest on it though. For my course it costs about £550 for the year if you pay in one go, but I am paying about £60 each month for 9 or 10 months.

I wasn't aware that there was any financial aid available for Open University regardless of how much/little you earn. After all, it is something you are choosing to do. If there is financial help out there for courses, point me in the right direction. I have no income as I stay at home to look after my two children, am not claiming any benefits, but would love to do a course.
