Are the markings on contact lenses unique to the wearer? I was putting my contact in this morning and when i thought i got it in my vision didnt get any better. I started to worry cut i thought maybe it was stuck in my eye. I went fishing for it for about 15 minutes but didnt find it. I would have fished some more but I had to run to work. I asked my boyfriend to see if he could find it on the floor in the bathroom. He found a contact lense that looked the same with the same markings but the problem is that I share that bathroom with like 10 other people. That is the relevance to my first question. is there unique markings on contact lenses that would tell me that lense was mine or not?

My contact lenses do have markings. I checked an old pair that I saved just in case something like this happened. Im not going to put it back in my eye especially since the one he found on the floor was dried out completely.

Some contacts have little letters or numbers on the actual lens, just check the one the is in your eye that you didn't lose for markings. And if you share a bathroom with 10 others, and he found it on the floor, I would not recommend putting that one back in your eye.

If you have doubt if it was your lens I think you should buy a new one. The markings you are asking, it depends upon the brand of the contact lenses.

Usually contacts are clear or blue tinted. They don't really have marks or anything on them unless you get the ones that change you eye color. You may just want to ask the other ten people if they lost a contact... If they didn't, it is yours.
