ok, so from christian answers from recent questions, i've discovered that they would rather die and let their children die, than convert to another religion.
now, what if you were put into the postition (through terrorism or whatever) that you had to either kill yourself, or your only child. suicide is a sin for which you go to hell, as is murder, but knowing you can repent your sin and still get into heaven after murdering your child, which would you do?
please don't give the answer "it's not that simple" because it is that simple if you're under the control of some crazy terrorist as my question implies.
i don't mean to be morbid or mean, i am just really trying to understand some of your values. thanks

I think you may be missing a point Riegan. I would not commit suicide nor kill my child. They would have to do it. They can not force me to do either one.
However, in the spririt of your question, if you could come up with some scenario where it was my life or the life of my child, the I would lay down my own life (even if it was by my own hand). It is not a sin to lay down your life for the sake of another (the soldier who throws himself on a live grenate has died of his own choice, but would you call it suicide?). In fact it is the most Christ-like act that we can do. It is called sacrifice.
If you would like to know more, there is a wonderful set of books. They aren't very long. I highly reccommend the Gospel according to John.
Oh and one more thing. Yes, I would also do it for you. Wiccan not withstanding. The Lord died for all of us, Christian or not. How could I do less?

Usury is many times understood in the Bible as any interest on a private loan, no remember if in funds or in wheat or different commodities. modern-day utilization has restricted the meaning of the be conscious to an unlawful interest. The regulation of God prohibits rigorous implementing of interest or exacting it, or a return of a private loan devoid of regard to the priority of the borrower; no remember if poverty occasioned his borrowing, or a visual prospect of benefit by potential of utilising the borrowed products. The Hebrews have been it appears that evidently commanded in Exodus 22:25, etc, to no longer get carry of interest for funds from any that borrowed for necessity, as in the case in Nehemiah 5:5-7 (taken from Cruden's finished Concordance, Hendrickson Publishers). So, in accordance to what's known approximately Christians receiving interest for funds loaned, i think of this explains that this is, especially circumstances, Scripturally ideal to attain this, asserting that not greater interest than needed be charged, if in any respect. additionally, the means of the borrower to pay back the own loan & the interest is to be taken into theory additionally, and altered hence. It sounds such as you have a private tale to tell. I desire you will have taken your fact somewhat further, and not purely lumped all Christians jointly. we are actually not each of an analogous, merely like on your man or woman faith no longer all are an analogous. My attitude is this, that God owns each little thing I even have, so as that once I borrow out my stuff, this is relatively God's. I permit Him complication approximately no remember if or no longer i'm getting it back. <*)))><
