Photoshop is a program. Pretty much any graphic program that you use photographs in has the ability to turn color into black and white buy finding the "grayscale" button. Most computers come with such a free program. Photoshop is REALLY expensive!!

I believe all photoshop applications have a greyscale function. I have PhotoShop 7.0 and I just go to "Image --> Mode --> Greyscale." You can also use the saturation tool, where you just put the saturation to 0.

just go Edit -->Adjustments--> Desaturate
if you want total black and white (not greyscale, there IS a difference) then go
Filter --> Sketch --> Photocopy
