Actually, the Bible is sort of silent about this situation, but you do get the feeling that his family did not believe in Him as Savior (except for Mary and Joseph) until after his death and resurrection. However, we know that his brothers James and Jude became Church leaders in Jerusalem, so I'm guessing that God knew what he was doing and made the situation work out, that's just my humble opinion though.

Since his family was Jewish, they'd know that Jesus wasn't the savior.. that is reserved for G-d alone. Jews don't believe that G-d can be personified. In fact, our scriptures explicitly warn against beliefs of that nature, since that kind of thing tended, in the past, to be a Pagan belief. I thought the Christian scriptures said he was human, so iff we're all "lowly humans," then fear not.. so was Jesus.

Yes they did.
James, the brother of Jesus did not like his public ministry and tried to prevent him in it. Later, after the crucifixion and resurrection, James became an outspoken apostle for Jesus and died a martyrs death for sharing the faith.
Something remarkable happened to change Jame's mind about his brother Jesus. He stopped calling him 'brother' and began to call him 'Lord'.

Yes they did have a problem with Jesus' claim to be God, until they wetnessed His resurrection. Then they James, and Jude, wrote their own letters in the bible, and became witnesses and martyrs for Jesus.

The real question is what was it like when Jesus (the oldest) broke up fights between the younger siblings?
What did his parents feel like when he said something "perfect" that they themselves had to agree to???
Who knows.........
