What is up with this.. When I am thinking about him and what he might be doing, he is doing the same thing, not shortly after the thought crosses my mind, he is calling me. I find it hard to concentrate sometimes because of him and then he tells me that he also had a hard time concentrating. What do you guys think is going on???

It is called Synchronicity.

When two people are in tune with each other they often have the same thoughts simultaneously or say the same things at the same time.

Put plainly, synchronicity is the experience of two or more occurrences (beyond coincidentally) in a manner that is logically meaningful- but inexplicable- to the person or persons experiencing them. Such events would also have to suggest an underlying pattern in order to satisfy the definition of synchronicity as developed by Jung.

It differs from mere coincidence in that synchronicity implies not just a happenstance, but an underlying pattern or dynamic that is being expressed through meaningful relationships or events.

Another phenomenon is called parallel thinking.

This happens all of the time.

Usually it goes unnoticed.

Unless you are with the other person and you both say the same thing at the same time.

Or when people talk to each other immediately afterwords and share thoughts.

It can happen to hundreds even thousands of people at the same time and does every day.

Such as when a crowd of people in a large stadium are watching the same show or game.

The same goes with Radio and Television.

Even without the above events and medias, group parallel thinking is common all throughout the world due to atmospheric and other natural occurrences.

Many years ago I asked a lady out on a date. When I picked her up we were dressed almost identically. She had a skirt on, but the colors and strips were exactly like my pants, shirt and blouse were identical and on and on. Carl Jung may have been right.
