It depends on how you define your version of 'happiness' first :). For some, it would be excessive wealth whereas many would already feel blessed with good health.
If you wish to promote harmony, the best place to start would be where your family spends a lot of time together (e.g. living room, dining room, etc). Chinese homes that use traditional feng shui will usually place a Tibetan Harmony Mandala or *** LuK Sau to ease tempers and overall good luck under their roof.

what are you trying to ask? fengshui can either bring you good wealth luck or good health luck - most people are after the good wealth luck, because you can always go to the hospital if you have wealth. but fengshui cannot bring you happiness, unless you are happy having good health or wealth luck.
