I just downloaded limewire and the program will only open if I have just booted up windows. If I close the program and try to reopen it nothing happens. I have to restart my computer and then click the icon again for it to work. Why is this happening? And also is there any way to have my library on limewire ONLY display the things i have downloaded from limewire and not like every file on my computer with a strange name?

try to uninstall it and install it back later. When you install it and you'll see a prompt telling you about something, click the KEEP BLOCKING option. This will not deprive you of having access to the songs shared in limewire. You could have been affected with a virus.. Don't click on strange names of files as they contain viruses. If you don't have an active antivirus, that's gonna be a threat to your system..
Anyway, you can make sure whether the file is a junk (as usual, junks have viruses) or not by trying to learn about its weight. A song is normally more than 4 mb on average and if it is less than that or if the number is a lot smaller than this, it must be a junk.
You can make your own library for this. Click on the options or preferences. First you have to make a filename for your limewire downloads and when you change the options, you type the filename instead of the old one.. When you download again, the downloaded entry is right there. You can make a shortcut to this on your desktop too if you wish...
I did the same thing...
However, i haven't gotten any kinds of virus yet from limewire...

THIS HAPPENED TO ME TOO...
this is what you do its vary easy
after you close limewire and you want to open it again...
look at the lower right hand of your computer where it shows the TIME and other programs that are running...
now click on the arrow that looks like this
(<)
to show all the other hidden icons that are running ...
now double-click on the GREEN limewire icon....
cool hu :)
P.S. if you want to shutdown limewire you rightclick on that same green icon and click "EXIT"

uninstall lime and use sharaza, lime is not good, sharaza and other useful tools on my site
