For the past two months or so I have been waking up at 11, midnight, then at 2, then 3, and at 4:30 am I just give up and get up. I am getting migraines from sleep deprival because I cannot get a full nights sleep. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try being more active during the day and having a bed time routine such as turning off the tv and just reading quitely for an hour befor going to bed.. If this doesnt help I think that you should try talking to you doctor about other options. You may have a medical condition waking you up such as restless leg syndrome or sleep apnea.

A few things that can greatly improve your sleep patterns:

1. Exercise - even if it's taking short walk in the evenings or an afternoon at the gym. Don't exercise too closely to bedtime, however,

2. Shower or bathe before bed. A nice bath can really help the body become relaxed and ready for sleep.

3. If you are in the habit of watching TV in bed - break that habit. Watch TV in a room, other than your bedroom.

4. I find that having a bit of background noise helps me greatly. I have a small fountain in my room that I run at night along with a small fan.

You could take something like benedrill, which is an antihistmine for sinus, its about as safe as you can get. Take a couple before going to bed, and you should sleep through the night.

Talk to your doctor. it may be a medical problem and he can prescribe you something for your sleep deprivation. I am on Trazadone and it helps. Maybe you should let your doctor know.

Try going to bed a bit later. if you get very tired, you are more likely to sleep through.

The best thing would be to talk to your doctor and find out if something is wrong. even if it winds up being nothing more than short term insomnia its better to find out
