I'm planning a trip for spring in 2008, and i've always wanted to go to both Ireland and Scotland and Russia. The tour company that i'm going to go with has tours, and they have an 11 day tour that encompasses everything that I want to see in Ireland & Scotland. Then they have a 12 day tour in Russia. The one in Russia is a bit more expensive. I'm making payments on these trips already, but my question is which one would you do if you had the choice? I've been wanting to go to Ireland & Scotland more, but I think Russia would also be neat. Thanks!

Your message tells me that it's Ireland and Scotland for you this trip.

I had the dream for years of going to this area and just recently booked the trip through London, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Cardiff, Wales. The castles, countryside, & history is so exciting and my heart tells me this is the trip to do.

I searched the Internet and other trips- through Paris, Rome, etc. and they are all exciting and wonderful but they will be there for another time.

When you originally thought of planning and booking, what was the itenary? Was the UK first? Then do it! And have a wonderful journey.

first look at it this way. In Russia, not to many ppl speak the english language, it will be hard to communicate, unless you're fluent in Russian. Sure Mockba (russian for Moscow) is a beautifull place to visit but the feeling you get, you're always chceking over your shoulder. Foreign visitor=big bucks.
Now if you went to Scotland & ireland, pure freedom. You could explore on your own, never worry about anything. And if you get lost, no problem with the local tongue. Just remember, you are dealing in British Pounds, which will be extremelly expensive.
On the other hand, in Russia, you will deal with rubbles and you'll feel like a frekin millionare. Plus if you're a woman, non stop shopping, excellent exchange rate. If you're a guy, partyyy.
