If you are diabtic oatmeal would be a good choice for you as that is healthy and microwavable. Other options would be scrambled eggs and bacon (not so healthy) Just beat eggs and cook in microwave safe dish. They sell precooked bacon, or microwave bacon racks. Maybe invest in a george foreman grill to cook meats or heat sandwiches.

Google is your best friend. Just type in "savoury" or "savory" and "breakfast" and see what millions of interesting ideas there are. Add "lo-carb" to that search list and you'll find more than plenty. For me, if it's a prepare the night before thing, a Frittata is the ideal way to go. They are excellent cold, with a little chili paste (rooster sauce!) or tonkatsu sauce. Experiment with ingredients. Nabayake udon is my favourite breakfast, but easier is to have grilled some salmon in low sodium soy sauce eaten cold the next morning, make the rice- brown for you, my diabetic friend!- and nuke it in a plastic bag the next morning, shredded toasted seaweed over those, and some oriental sauce of your choice over all that. Also look up variations on breakfast burritos, there are millions, they are delicious, you can scramble the eggs the night before, and use wholemeal or wholewheat tortillas.

Trying to stay away from the whole cereal oatmeal thing, I have a few ideas.
My first suggestion would be to buy a quiche. You can buy them in the freezer section, but I suggest buying one from a local restaurant. Less sodium and preservatives. You can reheat them in the mic, just make sure that you don't get it piping hot, the eggs get rubbery.
I am not a big fan of eggs in the microwave, but if you dress them up enough you they're not too bad. I have a recipe for a mexican mash that is decent.
2 eggs
3 tablespoons each pepper and onion (you can buy these at the salad bar in any larger supermarket)
As much pepperjack cheese as you like. I like a lot!
Small diced up sausage (I have left this out and added more peppers and onions)
Just mix it all up in a bowl. The cooking time depends on your microwave. When you see the eggs start to set around the edges give it a quick stir and back in to set. I like to top it with salsa. You could also roll this up in a tortilla.
Another think is to visit your local health food store. They have a lot of frozen food items that have less sodium, sugar and preservatives than what is offered in a traditional supermarket. You should be able to get pancakes that you could top with organic, sugar free jam and butter. Just make sure that you get butter that is unsalted. It's sweeter than salted butter without adding any sugar.
The second thing is to think outside the "egg" box. Some type of carbohydrate (crackers, pita, ricecakes) with cheese, peanut butter, hummus. Tomato sandwiches. One of my favorites is an english muffin with cottage cheese, salt and pepper.

Microwave Frittata
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup cubed fully cooked ham
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
4 egg, beaten
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Place butter in a microwave-safe 9-in. pie plate. Cover with waxed paper; microwave on high for 30-40 seconds or until melted. Add ham, onion and green pepper. Cover and cook on high for 2 minutes. Stir in eggs, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on high for 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 3 minutes or until completely set. Cut into wedges.
Or oatmeal with cinnamon, you can make scrambled eggs in the microwave and serve on toast. they have bacon now that you can microwave. but this frittata is delicious!

hmmm i dont know about you but we mexicans eat taquitos. my favorite is gaucamole taquito and bean n cheese taquitos. you just mash some avacado, mix in some tomatoes, onions and garlic, salt n pepper. mash together. then spoon some into a heated tortilla. there is also bean n cheese taquitos, like i said, which is cooked refried beans, spooned into a warm tortilla and topped with cheddar cheese. mmmmm
or perhaps switch from toast to bisquits!

I don't know if you can eat this or not, but I like the Pilsbury Toaster Scrambles. They are like Toaster Struddles, but they have egg cheese and bacon or sausage in them. They are yum, but I'm not sure of the sugar content. Check your stores freezer section.
