Through my discussion with many Muslims I realized that many of them think that prophet Muhammed had SEX with Maria (the Beautiful Egyptian concubine that was given to prophet muhammed as a GIFT) as a wife. However, Islamic history clearly shows that prophet Muhammed had SEX with her as a concubine (not a wife) and he did not marry her UNTIL she gave birth to his son Ibrahim.

Why many Muslims fall in that common mistake?

I just don't understand why anyone would think a prophet of God would have concubines and accept people as a gift, in addition to the many other ungodly things that Muhammad did. Every other prophet of God became a better person because of knowing God, except Muhammad. He continued to live for his lusts and worldly possessions instead of living for God.

May God Bless you.

Yo are wrong. Don't try to fool people. Which Islamic History you are talking about?

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was married to Maria al-Qibtiyya in 628 AD and their son Ibrahim was born in 630 AD. This is the truth.

Whatever slurs you may say about him, he is the undisputed greatest person that ever lived on earth. He changed to whole tribe of savage people into human beings. He was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.

P.S: You can use your brain. I strongly encourage you to do that.

I am not Muslim, but why does it matter if they married before or after sex, is sex outside of marriage OK in any religion?

So, he would not marry her until after she had bore him a son, I have known people in this country (USA) who have done the same thing.

She was his wife; most muslim scholars agree on this. Who are you to decide otherwise?
