in pregnancy a dogs nipples do get larger .... not when shes in heat though i dont think ....

Both. Every time the dog goes into heat her nipples will swell. They reduce after heat, but not to the size they were before heat. So with each heat cycle they will get bigger.

My dogs nipples did enlarge when she was in heat. I took her to vet to have her fixed and he said that was normal, something about the hormones. Even after she was fixed the vet said they might get bigger before going back to normal.

yeap in both cases i studied animal breeding for two years and know that the nipples pink(get bigger and more red when the dog is pregnant and in heat hoped this helped)

both but more so with pregnancy... ,ost mamals are the same and just like a human woman nipples get sore during period/heat so does a dogs and so forth
