Promise Keepers are made of Men of different faiths who comes together to keep a promises to better husbands or fathers ect. But would a man who reads his bible have to go to a place with other men to make a promise were he has already done so towards God. I don't agree with them and I don't think a person should get involved in that.

Words, go into promises. Words, are strong. Made of air, as light as feathers, but can be as hard as bricks, and as sharp as knives. However, words can be easily broken. Promises.... I promise to not play on the computer in the next five seconds.. 12345...
Did I do it?
No.. I think the only promise keepers matter, rather than the promise makers. For promise keepers, stay to thier word, and keep us strong, and know we of the weak may rely on one another. But the promise makers, make us grow weak, and humanity, broken....
So really, my point is, I think the only people that matter out of the two, is the promise keepers, though they dids have to be promise makers once, but became promise keepers, as obvious, by keeping their word.

I actually went to a Promis Keepers event just to see what it was all about. For someone who doesn't believe, it was an interesting thing to watch. It was nice to see that they have a sense of humor. They had a comedian who was actually very funny.

Everyone at the event, which is an all male gathering, seemed "fired up" after it was over. I just wonder how much of it carried over into their everday lives after it was over.

But, from a business standpoint, it is a money maker.

When I make a promise I keep it because I believe in eternal punishment for missleading or letting people down.

What I promise people make me credible or not and my credibility determens my character. I live to bring people to Christ and know what I know. Thus I do not tell lies because that reflects upon my religion and faith.

It sounds like someones has hurt you and you are mad. If you want to learn of a good group of people who truly believe and live in the footsteps of God please check out www.lds.org or www.mormon.org There are 14 million members and a church near you that will testify to this.

I hope you feel better and do not discredit others because of someone elses bad decision.

Good Luck

Take the book of Mormon challenge and if you do it is promised that God will reveal himself to you.

superb question! i'm onboard with those supplies individually. people who're secularists/Satanic are going to attack (like calling somebody a hypocrite) at each possibility because of fact they're guided with the help of devil. purely like the present law the U. S. residing house exceeded (Demonrats in value) that hyperlinks preaching the Bible, in church even, to hate crimes, hate speech and clearly is a Satanic attempt to legislate unfastened speech and freedom of religion. that's interior the Senate now and Obama will sign it (you will comprehend them with the help of their fruit) as quickly because it gets to his table. no longer that the Republicans are ethical the two.

Typical rubbish - why does one need the threat of heaven or the promise of salvation to simply behave decently?

I think you shouldn't make promises. Just try and quit with all the hype.

I think it's great that men want to keep their promises.

God always keeps his. What God says, comes to pass.

What man says can change. It's good to see men take a stand...and stand by their word.

Peace be with you.

I don't think you need religion to be a good parent. Christianity, and religion in general, is a mixed bag when it comes to family values.
