They're not sorry for lying, they're sorry they got caught! This goes for anyone, not only men. If someone is truly sorry they lied, they wouldn't wait until they got caught to say 'sorry'.

Some men lie because they feel that women can't handle the truth.
Some men lie because they are afraid of what's going to happen when the truth is told.
Some men lie because they feel the need to protect you.
Men should apologize and not say they are sorry.. You shouldn't be to hard on men because women lie.. It's apart of life so get used to it.

Well my first thought was: That's a sexist remark....not all men are liars (and not all men are sorry lol).
But then I thought over twenty years of marriage and Yeah! I know what you mean. You are trying to talk to them about a problem, trying to express your feelings and concerns. And they will say "Well, I'm sorry. I won't do it again."
But they do, just like a little disobedient child. Its like you never had the conversation to start with.
What I have learned to do with my man is this: Before he decides to shut down the conversation by saying "I'm sorry", I approach it from a different angle. I don't talk much and I ask him point-blank questions in a very logical, matter-of-fact way. Kinda like we are discussing how to repair the car. I remove as much emotion from the conversation as possible. I let him know I'm not looking for an apology, just an analytical solution to the problem. I have much more success with this approach, probably how we've been able to get through twenty years together without me killing him lol. Best of luck to you, dear.

A friend once told me he strongly believe that women lie as much as men do. They (women) can get away with it because they are better liars. My point of view....A guy on the other hand lie and then he apologize when he starts to realize what the consequences are or are going to be.

Hate to break it to you but for the last 10 years at least, women have been more prone to cheating, lying, and deception. Maybe even further back than 10 years. So basicly, it's not just men. It's just the men you've been with, that's either really bad luck or really bad judgement on your part. Try to pick up guys at a different place, i'm guessing you're going to bars.... bad place to look for commitment.

Same reason women do the same thing.
They lie so as to not get into trouble and say their sorry because the got caught.
That isn't very hard to figure out.

They lie because they think they would get away with it. They say sorry to get away with it. Either way they do it out of the belief that girls are naive passionate creatures who would rather live a lie than get out of their comfort zone and face the shocking truth about their relations. Well, Don't be.

Men lie because they are afraid of the worst in a women.Maybe they like the girl they are dating but he wants something else to have sex with so if she suspects that he is cheating she will question him and will lie in fear of losing someone

COMPLETE LACK OF RESPECT! As long a women keep allowing men to behave this way, they will continue to! All women need to stand up and demand a end to the BS... men will will only try what they know they can get away with... too many women allow this sort of behavior. Men know if you won't put up with it - it won't be hard to find another woman who will. I mean it. The women of the world need to start a revolution! NO RESPECT, NO SEX! NO NOTHING!

Because 9 times out of 10 women believe they can change the person. Unfortunately you cant change a person like most think so when they apologize you or most woman want to believe them. Some call it a fear of being alone....
In the other cases its cause they woman is trapped in the relationship or think they are trapped.
