Well bud, anyone has an equal shot at heaven.
The Bible says, "For all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God." So we can all accept the free gift of Salvation which was paid for by the death of Christ on the cross.
There are 3 easy steps, first you must realize that you are a sinner and need to repent, second you must believe that Christ led a sinless life and died a sinless death and that God raised Christ on the third day, and lastly you must be willing to allow Christ to change you.
If Adolf Hitler had met those requirements, then he could have been saved. Genghin Khan, Joseph Stalin, Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, you name a person and they have just as good a chance as Mother Theresa or the Pope.
God will not exclude the repentant sinner who accepts Christ as their Savior from heaven, no matter what sin has been committed.

Barbarians lived in a time when it was okay to be barbaric. Societal norms have changed drastically since their time. They lived without the constitutional rights we value so highly today. As far as heaven goes...that depends if the barbarians were Christians. I doubt many of them could read the bible, or any other book for that matter, because they lacked a priviledged upbringing. They probably couldn't write either which is why we don't have any manuscripts written by barbarians. The bottom line is...we'll never know...

It’s difficult to draw the line and say, “this person can go to heaven, but this other person can’t.” It really isn’t our place to decide or judge other people, but I understand your curiosity. I have oftentimes wondered, what happens to people who never knew about Christianity? Don’t they have a shot at heaven? Personally, I think that even if you did not accept religion or if you did not even know about Christianity, you can still go to heaven if you have led an essentially good life.

brilliant lol.
I doubt there is a heaven as described in the Bible.
Actually the Roman Empire was often more barbaric than their barbarian foes.
Barbarian means one who wears pants. That's how they were classified. You are probably a barbarian too.

Yes and no. If they were pre Christ, then I believe they will be judged by God solely on their deeds and their following of him. If after Christ was resurrected, then it would take a belief in him as the one that speaks to God on our behalf. (repentance would also be required) You just can't keep doing the same bad things over and over again without fighting the temptations...as that is not being repentant.

Everyone has an opportunity to be saved by the grace of the living God, through Jesus Christ.
Either you accept the give of salvation or you reject it.
It's that simple.
Peace be with you.

Your answer depends on whether you believe God responds to us, or if we respond to God in our salvation.
