Sadly, the cold harsh truth is that looks are indeed important in today's society. Studies said that it takes an average of 3 secs for a person to make his first impression and judgement of a person and it is solely based on your looks and overall appearance. In the business world, companies usually favours good looking people over average looking ones as they believe with their looks, it will be more profitable to the company because you might clinch a business easier if the other party thinks and sees well of you. In the media world, looks are told to be everything. It is easy, if you have the looks but no talent, you'd be famous, but if you have the talent but have no looks, you'd have to try doubly, if not, triple hard to make it big. Everyone loves looking at good looking people, aint they. This is how media makes profits too... through selling / advertising of beauty products which will make you look like jessica alba or whatever. In korea, if you don't have the looks, you might as well not survive anywhere. This is why almost 90% of celebs undergoes plastic surgery. As the world is moving forward, everyone seeks to improve on their appearance too and also, seeks partner who are. If you're ugly a century ago, nobody would have give a damn but now, you're be looked upon as a martian. So with so many endless beauty treatments/ products/ surgeries, go give yourself a new gorgeous makeover before you lose out!

In Singapore society nowadays, most girls goes for $$ instead of looks... But there's still some who goes for looks or character... Of course, to a girl, the best is he has the look, the character, and the $$$.... I guess that's human natural... =D

i assume they had get the full worldwide below them. Then Japan and Germany might have had a conflict to get the suitable one to win. If Japan gained, possibly they had kill all people non-Japaneese or not, i don't know how psycho they have been. If Germany gained, i could be exterminated on the grounds that Hitler exterminated epileptics which i'm going to be. I envy the people good sufficient and robust sufficient to could have been waiting to adhere around in the event that they have been given here.

Yes. Worldwide. people are attracted to that which is symmetrical and beautiful.

I've had some personal experience in this in that I was obese at one point in my life and after getting in shape people responded to me very differently-in a positive way.

It wasn't direct comments, but rather, things came easier. I was less scrutinized on job interviews; spoke to women easier and even got special treatment on days I dressed up versus casual days.

It's just how people work, and it's usually subconscious.

i think everyone ahs to feel some attraction towards another to be with him. Sometime to some people looks are highly important, but sometimes to some others they wont matter at all. but ingeneral i think most people find personality more important. because sometimes it can change the overall beauty of someone. it all just really depends

Well, I don't know about Singapore, but physical appearance is VERY important.

And anyone who tells you it's not is lying to you and to themselves.

The main thing is to not get so caught up with appearance that it ends up causing you a lot of problems.

Looks are extremely important here. As shallow as it sounds, its very true. If you don't LOOK nice enough to attract someone's attention, they won't try to get to know you to see how your nice your personality is.
