We have a 14 month old. She has white hair (so blond that it is white). But she has light hair on her arms, legs, and face. I don't remember ever seeing a toddler with hair before. Is this normal?

All my kids (2 bio and one adopted from China) have fine hair in these places. Maybe you never looked that closely at other people's kids before? If you're really concerned, contact your doctor. I, personally, think it's normal.

P.s. I have a friend who's 2 year old has so much hair, she has long, black nostril hair coming out of her nose, and the longest lashes I've ever seen on a kid (or adult for that matter!) All kids are different.

the extra hair will come off eventually its due to the hormones, we can never say how a baby will turn out but chances are the baby will be very similar to how you and billy are, so dont worry too much about it, the truth is babies have very little hair to begin with and when children inherit hairy genes they only tend to be more obvious till puberty hits so dont worry about a hairy baby, there is special hair growing on your baby growing right now called lango by about 30 weeks in pregnancy the downy hair starts falling off inutero but some babies are born with this and it falls off in a week or two its not an indication of how hairy your child will be, it wont be a problem at all if you have a boy men like to be hairly it makes them more manly even though some will get rid of it they still brag about how much they have and your son and daughter will never have to worry about thinning hair or balding, thats a blessing, rather more than less, dont stress allwill be well,

Just so you don't feel alone or wierd, my lil guy is FURRY! He was born almost bald w/very little eyelashes but now he has tons of hair. He has dark hair on his arms, legs, shoulders and especially back. They even shave his neck to the shirt line when he gets a hair cut. He will be shaving in the 3rd grade I am sure lol At least your child has blond hair. Don't worry and remember there are worse things that could be wrong..... Feel lucky and cherish your child, fuzz or not :)

yep perfectly normal...my now 6 yo has BLACK hair and when he was born until he was like 3 he was covered in it. He still has a hairy back (makes for a very sweaty summertime) but the rest of it is pretty much gone...
but when he was born he had hair on his head that started at his eyebrows and went almost all the way to his hairline!!

It is normal. Many young children are born hairy, as she grows up the hair won't be so obvious. Don't worry about it!

The color will change as your baby get older, the pigments in the hair will continue to get stronger and the hair will darken.
