The previous answers were all accurate in relation to the hot compresses. I would suggest hot water compresses 3-4 times a day but I would also see an eye care provider (optometrist or ophthalmologist) for an antibiotic which I would use concurrently. Additionally, if the entire lid becomes involved, oral antibitics would be useful. Good Luck!

bathe it in warm water twice a day and otherwise leave it alone. Do not touch it, do not wear eye make up, change your pillow slip every day and just leave it to heal. I once had 7 sty's in both eyes from being a bit careless and washing both eyes at the same time - oops. Also address your health and work out what you are eating too much of and not enough of and sort your mental health out while your at it. These sorts of things usually come when our systems are stressed.

Get some cotton wool, bath in hot water,put it over the end of a wooden spoon, and hold it lighty where the sty is.
Keep doing this bout 4 times aday. and leave it alone or it will get worse!
