He might be confused or nervous about something. Just to be cautious I would let him outside in your backyard if you don't want him using the bathroom in your house. Also train him again dogs tend to forget the rules of their owners house.

Hope I helped

How old is the dog, does he only do it when he is home alone when everybody is gone to work or school. If he is only doing it when everybody is gone, then the last person to leave the house needs to walk him. Plus make sure the last person to leave pats him and tells him that somebody will be home soon and that he will get dinner, plus tell him that you love him when you are leaving the house. He doesn't know how long you will be gone for or if you are coming home at all if you don't tell him, sure he can't tell time but if you tell him someone will be home for dinner then he will know what time that is especially if you have dinner at the same time every night. Remember that dogs are like little kids that are about 5 years old, they don't like being leaved alone and they do understand more words then you think they do. Most dogs pee and crap in the house as a way to tell you that they are upset with you, and sometimes they just can't help themselves as they are sick or they really need to go. Do you think you could hold it for more then 10 hours at a time.

The best way to train your dog is postive training. If you are hitting, spanking, rubbin your dog's nose in the accident, all you are doing is teaching him to go in a room that you are not in. Are you rewarding him when he goes to the bathroom outside?

How old is your dog and how long have you had him. If he is still a puppy, he is still learning. As long as you are training him right, he is getting it. It will just take some more patience. But it sounds like, according to your question, that you are not training him right. Don't get upset with the dog, because you are not training him right.

You will have to go back to the basics. Start from the very beginning. Are you keeping your dog in a big area when you are not home. Are you leaving him for long periods of time without a bathroom break? What are you doing? and not doing?

Go to http://www.amazon.com and get a positive dog training dvd. It is worth the cost to get the cd and train your dog the right way than to have accidents in the house all the time and getting you upset.

Are you crate training your dog?

Does the dog go to the bathroom in the house right after he comes in from the outside?

Need more information.

Is your dog an elder? he might be forgetfull or he cant hold it in anylonger. If he is young then you should maybe take him out more. Try going to the store and buying the cleaning stuff they have for this purpose, it takes away the scent of there urine so they know its not the place to pee there. My dog is getting at her ripe old age so we had to take her out more freguently and we used "bitter apple" at the area we cleaned with the de-scenter cleaners. the "bad" smell of bad apples will keep her away. i hope this helps
good luck

do u give your dog treats when he/she comes inside, after there business?if the dog goes in the house before you take the dog outside. when u do take the dog out, don't give the dog a treat. dogs are verbal. my dog would go in the house in the morning or when i came home from work. i would tell him to go to his room. and he would until i felt the time was right.

Then you need to crate train your dog to be clear about where he should and should not potty:

Crate training is both fair and clear to your dog. Be kind and *consistent* and you will have success!

he's trying to tell you something. he may be bored if he's doing it while you aren't home (seperation anxiety). try turning on the tv or a radio while you are gone and see if this helps. if he's doing it while you are home i don't know what to tell you
