Your baby is a 2nd cousin. How does that work, 3rd, 4th and so on and when is safe to marry where you don't have children with two heads?

The babies will be second cousins,I think you are referring to inherited weaknesses in health patterns, there is always a risk with 1st cousins marrying, it weakens the risk as you move down to 2nd 3rd cousins,etc.

Isn't it 7 or 8 degrees of separatioin before it's safe to marry?

Her baby to you is your first cousin once removed.
Her baby to your baby is a second cousin.

The 2 babies are second cousins.
And you are also second cousin to your first cousins baby.

your cousin's cousin is your second cousin.

your cousin's baby is your first cousin once removed (ie: removed a generation).
