My husband is South African and I am Scottish and we are trying for our second baby, which we hope is a boy! I would like to give him a South African name that is a little unusual but as my whole family are scottish and we live in scotland, I need something that my family can pronounce! I know it may sound a little daft, but my mother cant even remember my last name, never mind pronounce it, and I have been married for almost 2 years now! Any ideas?

Hey SexyMama... I'm shocked, not even 1 of your answers has a South African Name!! What language were you after? If its Afrikaans, can't help (I was born and raised in SA but my whole family can't speak the language, the lucky few). Here are a few...

Sipho : Gift
Themba: Hope or trust (xhosa or zulu)
Tando: (noun) Love (Unisex) (xhosa or zulu)
Lerato: (noun) Love (Unisex) (sotho)
Tanda: (verb) Love (Unisex, common among boys) (xhosa or zulu)
Thaba: (verb) Be happy (xhosa or zulu)

Go to this link for more... My favourite is Amahle, but may proof difficult to pronounce. Good Luck!!!
