Give her a multiple vitamin every day so she at least gets that nutrition. kids chewable tablets, most kids love these. You can also mix a little bit of pediasure in her milk so she gets all the nutrients she needs to stay healthy. My son at that age use to eat very little too. As long your daughter doesnt start loosing weight ,she is totally fine. And if you are still concerenee or want professional advice, tell your pediatrician to recommend you a nutritionist for your child and monitor her blood and weight.

good luck!

Neither of my kids eat very much, in fact my 22 mo. old son eats more than my 4.5 year old daughter!!! My son weighs 31 lbs, and my dau weighs 36 lbs!!! Isn't that funny!!

As long as your Dd is following the growth curve at the pediatritian (sp?) you should have nothing to worry about.

Both my kids are big milk drinkers and I know that affects their eating habits, but at 14 months I never gave it a second thought. They are still need their milk at that age IMO.

Toddler portions are MUCH smaller than adult portions. Their little tummies are the size of their fist, so you can't expect much to get in there anyway!

One thing I've done is set out a little tray of tiny healthy snacks on a table my kids could reach and they could come and go throughout the morning or afternoon and kinda "graze" on diced up fruits, cheerios, etc. etc. It might help her if she feels she has control of the situation, and help her get a few extra calories here and there.

Good Luck, I'm sure she's fine!

My 16month old son was drinking a lot an was not eatting. I took his milk, juice, etc away until he ate something. I don't let him have anything to drink tell he eats breakfast then he gets a sippy of milk and then its the same for lunch and dinner. You might have to try that. That is what worked for us with him. So good luck.

maybe u could try giving her several small snacks threw out the day and have her try eating some of her food before she drinks any milk. Some lil ones dont eat alot but if her doctor says she ok I wouldnt worry. Maybe you could give her some of that stuff thats like insure for old people but they make some for kids. But I would ask her doctor before u do that.

My little sister, well she's not little anymore, but when she was little all she did was drink milk! She didn't want to eat anything, she just wanted milk. Her pediatrician told my mom that it was a faze that she was going through and that it was ok because of all the nutrients that's in milk. She's 13 now...I'm sure things have changed. I would talk to you doctor. But, ignore the 1st post, this is normal....Kids do crazy, odd things! :o) GL! *www.happysahm.com*

I would try putting her on a schedule. Feed her breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon snacks. Keep in mind that her stomach is only as big as her little fist. That may give you an idea whether she is getting enough food.

Don't offer milk until after she eats. Also, don't give her milk in between meals as it can fill her up.

She may be filling up on milk. I'd talk to your pediatrician about it first, but you may want to cut back on her milk intake - she may be drinking too much so she's full and not hungry to eat her dinner. Its sometimes a tough adjustment but after age one she should be eating more like we do, three meals of table foods, maybe some snacks, and then milk with her meals, but not so much that its her actual meal. Good luck!

Talk to your doctor.

This isn't normal, but you made just be giving her too much milk.

Whatever the case, call her doctor and ask for opinions.

MY OLDEST (WHO IS NOW 10) USED TO EAT LIKE A BIRD. ONE TABLESPOON OF PEAS WAS ALL SHE WANTED. WE WENT TO A SPECIALIST AND HAD HER CHECKED OUT (BECAUSE SHE WAS SO SMALL TOO) BUT SHE WAS FINE. HE SAID THAT SHE WILL EAT WHEN SHE GETS HUNGRY. BUT THAT DIDN'T HELP ME FEEL BETTER. AND THEN I FOUND "PEDIASURE". IT IS A SHAKE-LIKE SUPPLEMENT. IT HAS ALL THE VITAMINS AND MINERALS THAT SHE SHOULD BE GETTING. I SUBSTITUTED THAT FOR MILK AT LEAST TWICE A DAY.

SHE EVENTUALLY GREW OUT OF THIS PHASE AND DOES FINE NOW. GRANTED, SHE'S STILL TINY (ONLY 52 POUNDS) BUT SHE IS HEALTHY. SOME CHILDREN WILL JUST BE SMALL.

TRY TO FIND "PEDIASURE" WHERE YOU ARE. I'M IN GEORGIA AND THEY HAVE IT AT ALL OF THE GROCERY STORES AND WAL-MART, K-MART, ETC. GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR LITTLE GIRL!!
