when they take a urin sample, do they look for marijuana, and when they look at it is it easy to see marijuana?

Usually they don't test for drugs at a regular doctor appointment unless someone asks them too.
They are probably checking your urine for other medical reasons.

drug testing isn't part of the routine doctors exam, however thats not to say they wont test for it if given reason. IE concerned parent, or patient behavior.
Yes its a very quick and easy test to tell if someone has drugs in their system and what type of drugs they take. Its also one of the reasons doctors ask you for a list of medications you take incase they have the possibility to throwing of the results in the test.

I think they are looking for signs of diabetes, rather than your drug habits.
