It's true that babies are often born with blue eyes. It's also entirely possible for neither parent to have blue eyes and have children with blue eyes because the blue eyed gene is recessive. So two people with brown eyes can have blue eyed children so long as they both have that recessive gene, the gene just isn't manifest in the parents because the brown or whatever other color is more dominant.

Over 80% of caucasian babies are born with blue eyes. The pigmants in them have not finished developing yet, they will not be their actual color until about 10 months of age. Also, you cannot tell me that there is absolutely no one anywhere on either side of the family tree that does not have blue or hazel eyes. Genes are very tricky things, they can pull from many generations back. Are you just looking for a reason to stir up trouble? If the father has any doubts he can always ask for a DNA test to be done. He can tell her its to get you to be quiet about it.

ALL babies are born with blue eyes. In most cases, if the baby is going to have brown eyes, they will change from blue to brown within moments after birth, but they can take up to a full year before finally becoming their true color. If the baby's eyes are a cloudy color of blue, they will probably change. If they are very clear already, then they will probably stay blue. Also, if both paternal and maternal families have all brown eyes, then blue would be VERY rare...but if there are other colors on either sides....then blue is possible, or they may change to green or hazel.

Yes, most babies are born with blue eyes. They can change any time up to about 2. At 4 weeks this baby has plenty of time. More importantly, your attitude must change. This Mother is totally right to be mad enough at you to never let you see this grandson. What are you thinking? Did you mean to make her out to be a liar, a cheater, a whore? This is most certainly what you did. Shame on you.

most babies are born with blue eyes but they change to the color they are going to be within a few days. If he still has blue eyes after 4 weeks, I'd say he's going to have blue eyes. There must be a blue eyed gene somewhere down the family line, could be on either side. If great great great great granny had blue eyes on either side the kid could have blue eyes.

So they say "Yes" most babies eyes are blue when their born, but it's so hard to tell until they get a bit older (baby wise) to see, because they sleep so much when their first born.. My youngest daughter came out with the darkest black eyes like her grandpa on her dad's side, but when she was first born, I'm sure they must have been blue... I only remember, her having the dark black eyes.. With my strawberry blonde hair!! She's "Gorgeous" now, and she's only 12, and I have to keep the grown men from thinking she's an adult she's so tall !!! Its scary!! Congratulations!! I finally got my first grandson, after 3 grandaughter's, he's only 9 months old... Sweet little guy, too!!! Smile!!!

Babies have sort of a muddy bluish color which then changes to brown or green over several months. The truly blue eyed babies usually keep their color, although I know one child whose eyes turned brown from blue at age 2.

Yes, most babies are born with blue eyes. They should change by 6 months if they aren't going to stay blue.

My husband and I both have brown eyes and both of our children have blue eyes. Yes I believe that most babies are born with blue eyes. I have several nieces and nephews with brown eyes and i am pretty sure they were all blue when they were born. My one niece had beautiful blue eyes until she turned about 1 and they changed to hazel.
