Well, it depends on the test, I have heard of people getting results as early as 5 days before a period, but I am not sure how many women get that kind of result.
For me, personally, I did not have a positive test until I was a month late.

a home pregnancy test can accurately detect pregnancy from 3 weeks of pregnancy, the best time to do a home pregnancy test would be 3 to 5 days after missing your period, which would mean that you are 6 weeks pregnant. please note that a home pregnancy test is not 100% effective and therefore you should consult your doctor after receiving a positive test result. good luck

I found out 5 days before my missed period. I tried to take one 7 days before and it came out negative but I just knew I was pregnant so I waited two more days and used First Response.

I havent had this. but someone said that when your pregnant your pregnant it doesnt matter how long it is till your period your still going ot have the chemical that its lookin for this person i think did it like 2 weeks before her period and she was pregnant. and shes had a few kids and did it like that.. but alot of ppl say it only works 5 days before your missed period. but I honestly dont believe that.

I showed up at 4 weeks to the day on a home kit. I hadn't even missed my period yet, but it was due that day. Try it!

For me,I think it was about 3 weeks after my cycle.I knew something was wrong,because I had some fruit cocktail which isn't oily or greasy and I did'nt even feel sick and it came right back up and thought what the hell so I went to the dollar store,yes the dollar store and bought a test and sho nough it was positive.

I had a test show possitive 6 days before my period.

A week after my period.
Then 9mths almost to the day had a beautiful baby boy
now 6 mths old
