Because of the free will of man ,over the thousand years or so began to forget the one God and worshipped the creatures instead of the creator. That why Noah was singled out .He didn't forget God.After the flood, once again ,men began,as they started expanding all over the earth,to forget the one true God.Even Abraham's father was a pagan(as stated in the book of Joshua).Shem,Noah's son was still around when Abraham was around and may have taught him about the one God and that's why God used Abraham.
It's always been touch and go with Monotheism. You can read that in the book of Judges all the way to the end of the captivity of the Jews by Babylon. We as Christians have a lot more in common with Abraham's faith walk than our Jewish brothers who are stuck in legalisim. You noticed I called them Brothers, they would not return the compliment to me.

They worshiped the one true God Jehovah. As did the Apostles. They knew Jehovah was sending a Messiah. The Apostles were able to meet, learn and become followers of the Messiah Jesus. Jesus worshiped his father Jehovah.

No. Christianity was split from the Jewish faith - the Old Testament is almost identical to the Torah. Either one could have gotten it wrong after that. After all, the Apostles were Jews, but technically became Christian, since they believed that Jesus was the Messiah. Does this make them heretics? Or were the rest of the Jews wrong? We'll never know for sure until we die - that's why we have to have faith.
Good luck, and may your God go with you.

Noah and Abraham spoke directly to God, the Apostles were all Jewish before Christ death and Resurrection, shortly after that while they were in Antioch they became known as Christians.

Tribal totemism that was later sophisticated into what we know as Judaism.
In answer to the sub-question, no. There is no "true religion." Religions evolve, expand, assimilate each other; traditions and rituals merge and mutate; gods coalesce and overlap. The IHVH of the OT is the result of centuries of development from His original character as a protective dead ancestor and war totem, just as the mythologized history of the OT represents a refined recension of oral traditions among the tribes.
Needless to say, when people base their answers on the idea that the bible is literal historical fact, they're simply working from within this tradition, rather than looking at it objectively as a cultural phenomenon.

Back in the day there wasn't religion!
They talked to God, they knew he was there.. They weren't corrupted like we are in this day, so God could move them so freely! Christianity is a term created by humans, in order to separate us. Different religions were created when the people turned from the Lord and worshiped the sun, or something equally dumb! If we had of stayed the way God wanted us to be, we wouldn't have religions, we would just be worshipers of the Lord! And i wish that my kids could grow up in that kind of environment!

True, Noah and Abraham did talk directly to God, so they had a personal face-to-face relationship with him. The apostles were followers of Christ, so, since they believed that he was the son of God then they would have to be called Christians.

That's true, Noah, Abraham, et al did speak directly to God. Abraham was promised that God would use his descendants and they became the Jews. God told Moses that He was the God of his forefathers, Abraham, Jacob and Joseph. Through the Jewish line came the earthly family chosen to bring Jesus into the world in fleshly form. Looks like a long unbroken line to me.

Noah had faith in God
Abraham had faith in God
the apostles had faith in God
God says this about religion:
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this; to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
James 1:27
There is a difference between religion and relationship.
The way to eternal life with God in heaven is:
having Faith in Jesus
Faith has always been the way of salvation, for Noah, Abraham, the apostles, you and me.

They worshiped God alone.
Had faith that God would be sending the Messiah - his son - Jesus Christ.
Believed in the resurrection. (Heb. 11:17 - 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, as good as offered up Isaac, and the man that had gladly received the promises attempted to offer up [his] only-begotten [son], 18 although it had been said to him: “What will be called ‘your seed’ will be through Isaac.” 19 But he reckoned that God was able to raise him up even from the dead; and from there he did receive him also in an illustrative way.
