I've become more cynical, and I try really hard not to let it show through. I came here with the intent to be non-judgmental and inoffensive. When I feel myself slipping I stay away for a few days.

I have learned with my own answers and I have found people with good statements too. Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of sarcasm, but that only tells me how many people are really confused about their own beliefs or lack of belief.
I respect every body's religion and I am always open to hear different points of view. I've been coming here for a little more than one week.
My religion is Spiritism and I have realized nobody knows about it or ever heard about it.
Peace!

fudd already said it but I am only 4 weeks older and two levels higher in marks.
As for my beliefs and resolve - no change there. I have learnt more ways of saying the same thing. Why no change - guess my beliefs are stronger than those of the atheists here.

I am different because I grow in my walk everyday.
But R & S has little to do with my growth. There are a few questions/thoughts/concerns that are raised in my head that probably are there because of the R & S section.

My sense of humour has been heightened. At first I was looking for interesting biblical perspectives, but came back with more entertainment value. I can take the bashing from all sides with a grain of salt. It's easy to hide behind a computer. My faith has remained strong.

I think a lot longer before answering questions now, and I am a lot more likely not to answer at all. I am less tolerant of people who simply parrot what they are told, but more tolerant of people who have bad knowledge. I have also learned to largely ignore people who will not listen.
I have learned that believers refuse to understand the legitimate meanings of the words know, proof and fact, instead using the altered definitions supplied by their religious leaders.
I am now quite polarised against christianity, and this is due to the considerable amount of christians who are mindless paste-a-holics and show with every non-answer that they do not think any more. This is not all christians, of course, but enough to make me forever want to stay away from their beliefs. I value my ability to think.

hm. Well all I can really say about it, is that I am enjoying the interaction of different ideas, I don't get to discuss things like this in the real world, so to be able to touch a group of people with diverse ideas, but interested in the spiritual journey, is nice:) To interact with the others helps to shape my own beliefs better, to cause me to think about things, and if I'm not careful, I may even learn something.

as sad as it sounds, i was much more opened minded when i came here a few weeks ago. but the answers i have read (mostly by christians) have made me realize that christianity isn't as harmless as i once thought it was. there was a question posed that asked if you had to change your religion to save the lives of your families, would you? the christians overwhelmingly said NO! i think that's crazy talk! they would let their children die so they could get into heaven! wow. and then there are the ones who deny evolution and even gravity!!!!! i just can't believe that in this day in age people still have such uneducated ideas based solely on blind faith. as an educated woman, it just doesn't make sense to me and it borderlines on delusional in my opinion.
now i know i might get some thumbs down on this one, but i am just answering this question based on the answers of people from the christian faith
as a practising pagan, i try hard not to judge people's beliefs, as they are entitled to them, but this becoming more and more difficult with every answer i read.
