The WAV record is uncompressed and it particularly is a precise (examine: bit-for-bit) reproduction of the CD. because of the fact it particularly is uncompressed it additionally occupies an excellent variety of not undemanding disk area (around 10 megabytes consistent with minute). some audio formats like MP3 and WMA are lossy-compressed and that they "alter" the sound in basic terms a sprint with the intention to realize greater effective compression (ie, an MP3 record has abount a million/10 the dimensions of an identical WAV record). in case you're using lossy-compressed formats, this could clarify why you're noticing those ameliorations between the ripped song and the unique CD. you ought to rip from unique CDs (not copies) and use greater bitrates (192 kbps or greater; some people use 320 kbps) so as which you will income from the compression and don't be conscious any adjustments in the sound.
