5W30 is the weight specified for your car. 5W20 is the weight specified for ALL Ford gasoline engines 2001 to current, EXCEPT 4.0L SOHC V6 engines.

Ford recommends 5w20 on all 4.6 v-8s ever made (1991- current) but I'd run the 5w30 IMO as that's what it's used to and mainly it helps stay in the gaps a little longer (as a 30w flows a little slower than 20 weight)

use 5 W 30 or 5 W 40....the 20 is too thin

i would check owners manaul for sure but i would think 5w30
i have a 07 silverado it calls for 5w30
