There is your problem right there. You are still in "fasting mode". Your body is running on "minimal mode" conserving energy until the next "feed".
Think about it, if you eat 3 times a day and supper is your last meal - generally around 6 pm................that fuel is used to feed the cells thair store of energy to allow you do your thing during the day - maybe you are a soccer player, maybe a weightlifter, maybe just skurryling around shopping. So supper is just replenishing the cells that have put out, nothing about future stores.
When is the next time you would eat? 12-14 hours later. So the body went into a fasting state to preserve itself and only 1/2 the lights are on so to speak.
Maybe something to reconsider when looking for ways to increase performance.
Foods for the mind. FISH is brain food, one of the few foods that can cross the brain blood barrier.

You could try a protein bar, but those usually contain added sugar, and it's been proven that simple, refined cane sugar can make it difficult to focus and concentrate.
I would try eating a small amount of spaghetti or similar pasta with just cheese only, no sauce.
I would have a regular size glass of white milk ( milk is highly nutritious ) with it, and as always drink water.
You may try a small bottle of Gatorade after you breakfast, because Gatorade contains body salts and natural sugars that have proven to improve mental performance

Stay away from coffie. Just make sure you get pleanty of sleep the day before the exam, and have your normal breakfast. Orange juice, bacon an eggs. Sleep the day before is the most important for the exam.

fruits, veggies, a heavy breakfast? Though I really suggest you eat a heavy breakfast or something, I understand the 'I don't eat breakfast' which makes me kinda dizzy around lunch or something, but eight hours? might as well fill your stomach while you can with healthy stuffs, fruits and veggies.
