Don't try too hard. If the topic is interesting, people will listen.

Some ideas include.

Tell a personal story that is funny, that makes a point. For example, so change you have noticed.

Humour is in the delivery, not the joke itself.

Observation humour should use a very humorous voice and actions. Think Bill Cosby style.

Jokes can be told in a fairly straight way, but they should realise it is joke from the start.

But some jokes work by leading people down the wrong alley, then hitting them with the punch line.

If you have access to a computer projector try and download a few short clip from YouTube.

first off, do you think the speech is boring? second, what's it for? all i can say with what you've told me is that if it needs something you could add a joke on w/e you're talkin bout here and there, but humor is best when not pushed or pursued, but just naturally there and in place. of coarse, it's all about presentation too =D

Compare what you're talking about to something else it reminds you of that makes it funny. Make sure to be natural during the speech and don't act like you've memorized it straight out too much or it won't go over very well.
