I agree, put a cute little dress on her with some ruffled socks and nice shoes. Put shorts under her dress in case she plays a lot and her dress flys up! :)

A dress made of a nice material (not a cotton knit that's more for play wear.) Sleeves would be preferable or perhaps a skirt with a nice shirt and sweater/cardigan. I would stay away from denim all together. A cute bow in her hair or having her hair brushed would be important.

Honestly, while the outfit is important, you should also do a little sit down with your daughter before the event to explain what manners she is to use during the event. I rather have my daughter dressed cute (even if it's not formal enough) and well mannered rather than super formal fluffy dress, shiny shoes and a BAD attitude. As long as she's behaved well I'm sure she'll look cute no matter what she wears.

A suggestion though- since she is 3, you can have fun with it and let her have a small purse in which she can carry a few fun items to keep her entertained- a small doll, crayons and a mini coloring book, etc.

Also, to keep it fun and not stuffy for her, they sell stick on earings (they're just stickers really) at most teen jewelry stores in the mall. She can then "be like mom" and pick out pretty earings to wear.

Make it fun for her!!

I agree with the others. I nice Easter dress would suit perfectly. Add a pair of tights and dress shoes. There are lots of pretty ones out there right now!

I would say that a nice Easter dress would be what I would put my little girl in. There sare different stages of what people consider Easter dress, and I would use one of the dressier ones!

For a 2-3 yr old, I can't imagine anyone would doubt your choice either way, as long as they're not in overalls.

A dress would be 'formal', and pants would be 'casual'. 3 yr olds don't have too much of a difference!

A nice dress with a longer skirt would be fine. I would choose a solid color or simple design. many stores have easter dresses out now. Most of those would probably be appropriate.

Discuss with the bride what she has in mind but probably a fancy dress instead of a gown.
