Hi all! You guys have helped me before so I'm counting on you now! :)
I have a 2003 Olds Alero and have had it since it has had 2 miles on it. It has really been a great car so far. However, this morning I came to work and then went to go somewhere about 30 minutes later and it won't start now. It is only making a tiny click when I turn over the ignition. I know it is not the Passlock feature (I've dealt with that already and know all the signs and how to get past that one.) I have also tried to have it jumped and that won't work either, so it isn't the battery. There were no signs for this. It has been running great. I just came back from a 2 hour trip yesterday so I have NO clue! Someone has mentioned that it could be a fuse? But, I have no idea which one.
Any suggestions would be greatfully accepted. I just don't want to spend tons of money to fix it when it could be simple. Thanks so much in advance.

Okay, so telling me my car sucks does not help with the problem. I was looking for actual help not criticism. This is a very frustrating problem because I just moved to the area and have no family here and do not know anyone other than co-workers.

hi, all cars sucks the difference is , yours will be cheaper to repair than his import..heheheheehhh.. your problem could be the starter and its crying to you now. this will happen again and if it does, turn your headlights on and start the car, if the lights go dark then u have a battery problem which will need to be replaced. but if it did not go dark and you hear a click , it is the starter. enjoy.

The problem is an easy fix, sell that POS Olds Alero, and buy an import car! That way, reliabilty won't be an issue (with regular maintenace) until 200k miles or so. Domestic cars are crap! Didn't you perform research on the Alero before you purchased it? They are cheap, pathetic cars! Best of luck to you though :)

dead battery or loose cables/ after that replace starter... the click is the solinoid in the starter....
