Alcohol is a depressant. Stop drinking. Find something that you like to do and replace the alcohol drinking with that. Try to look at the positive and not focus on the negative .

Some people think alcohol makes you feel good, but its actually an amplifier. If you are happy when you start drinking you get really happy when you are drunk. If you drink when something troubles you, then it will make you feel worse. So stop.

Hi there

alcohol amplifies our moods. Or we can have mood swings when drinking. Some people get depressed, others suicidal, others again overly happy, some overly friendly. Alcohol (in a level that is too high for our personal methabolism but before inducing a knock out) never does anything good to us and if you are prone to depressions, dark thoughts etc you might better abstain from too many beers... having good friends who know your mood swings during a drinking session around might help if drinking cannot be avoided, but it might help if you look into the reason why you get depressions. I used to have depressions I was not totally unawares of, but they were 'hidden', I did not acknowledge them so they came out when drinking, to a point where I got suicidal. Now my life is in order and when I drink - it happens occasionally - I tend to be overly happy, friendly and very outgoing... ah, alcohol... maybe it was intended for us, maybe not. It certainly is not too beneficial for us in larger quantities, that is proven and obvious, but totally without alcohol I don't think our lives would be the same, and I think it can help us in some cases... look into yourself, find the reason of your depressions, go after them, and you'll see your life will be different once you have settled those hidden sorrows. Might take some time though - my own experience! Take care, ya!

I agree don't drink so much, if you are getting depressed over drinking, or are you feeling guilty about your drinking?
When I drank I would feel depressed and Guilty after a binge.
if you want to talk about it let me know but not drinking so much will help,

when i get drunk i tend to get depressed too sometimes, i think it just has to do with your state of mind. the other day i got drunk and ended up carving on my wrists and arms, cause i kept over thinking things. if you re thinking of sad things or things that make you mad, you're gonna end up getting depressed. all i needed was my boyfriend to reassure me that everything was all good.
-hope this helps
