Ok i have an idea to approach this girl i want to toalk to. I always have problems trying to approach a girl so i always try to come up with a way to. Plus im nervous because she's younger and younger girls tend to be a little meaner towards feelings. Ok soim going to go over to her with my Ipod and im going to put it on hold. And im going to go up to her tell her its not working and ask her if she could help me out. And sooner or later we'll figure out its on hold and i'll say i dont know and then i start small talk with her after that. It sounds a little dumb but im just seeing what will work or not. So what do you guys think? Is it good, bad, ok.

Hmmm. That's actually kinda clever! If I may suggest one more little thing...(this would work if you know what type of music she listens to...)
Give her the earphones and tell her that you cannot hear anything/you're having problems, etc. When she figures that it's paused and she hits play, she can hear a song she likes. Then she'll say, "OMG, I love this song..." and you can say "OMG, I love this song too! That's why I was SO bummed it wouldn't play...".
That might also work.
